BONE UNION DISORDERS

In the case of operative treatment of bone union disorders, the doctor refreshes the ends of the bone fragments and  resects the fibrous tissues that prevent bone union. The treatment also involves anatomical restoration of an operated limb, stimulation of bone union with an autogenous graft of the spongy bone usually harvested from the patient’s iliac ala, as well as stable fusion of the bone fragments.

Bone union disorders treated in our hospital are:

  • Delayed union
  • Non-union
  • False joint
  • Post-traumatic deformatities
  • Pathological adhesions
  • Joint contractures

The patient is qualified for the surgery after being examined by an orthopedist and an anesthesiologist.
